Senior Research and Development Engineer


Our client an innovative company who develop microfluidic products for applications in life sciences and diagnostics are currently seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to join their team. The Senior Research and Development Engineer must possess a solid technical expertise and have a track record of successful R&D projects


Role/Responsibilities

  • Design and development of new generation of microfluidic products including flow cytometry products and microfluidic products.
  • Design and development of mechanical components of microfluidic biochips.
  • Participation in research and development projects at preparation of project reports, documentation, and proposals for new projects.
  • Support, quality control and testing of existing line of microfluidic products and products in development.
  • Liaising with subcontractors to support manufacturing process including ordering components/ preparing specifications/postproduction QC.
  • Assist the rest of engineering team in planning and execution of verification procedures and protocols to identify product specifications.

Skills/Experience:
  • M.Sc in biomedical engineering or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in designing of microfluidics instrumentation or biochip products.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies: injection moulding, vacuum casting, rapid prototyping, ultrasonic welding.
  • Solid working knowledge of designing with AutoCAD, Solidworks and COMSOL.
  • Track record of design and development of products from models and drawings to prototypes and production.
  • Knowledge of data analysis such as Python or Neural Networks
