My client is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join a highly technical engineering team in Limerick.

This is a senior individual contributor role suited to an engineer who enjoys being close to the hardware and wants genuine ownership of complex electronics projects from design and development through to validation, debugging and delivery.

You will have the opportunity to work across both new product development and sustaining engineering, collaborating closely with embedded software and firmware teams to develop, troubleshoot and improve sophisticated electronic products.



The Role

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will take ownership of key hardware engineering activities and play a hands-on role throughout the product lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing analogue and digital electronic circuits
• Designing and reviewing PCBs, including schematic capture and layout
• Performing board bring-up, debugging and hardware validation
• Conducting laboratory testing, measurements and fault finding
• Diagnosing complex hardware issues and carrying out root-cause analysis
• Designing and troubleshooting DC-to-DC power conversion solutions
• Supporting new product development from initial concept through to verification and delivery
• Providing engineering support for existing products and resolving technical issues
• Working closely with embedded software and firmware engineers during development and debugging
• Documenting designs, test results, investigations and engineering changes
• Contributing to design reviews and helping drive robust engineering solutions

• Strong experience in electronic circuit design
• Solid analogue and digital electronics knowledge
• Experience with PCB design and hardware development
• Proven experience with board bring-up and debugging
• Strong laboratory troubleshooting and test skills
• Experience performing structured root-cause analysis
• Knowledge of DC-to-DC converters and power electronics
• Experience taking hardware from design through testing and validation
• The ability to work effectively with embedded software/firmware teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly
