A fast-growing medtech company is seeking a Production & Logistics Planner to join its Operations team. This is a permanent role based in Galway with hybrid working. This role is critical to ensuring smooth production, logistics, and inventory management, supporting the delivery of life-changing medical technology worldwide.

The Role

You will be responsible for demand planning, production scheduling, capacity management at a contract manufacturer, and outbound logistics coordination. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role with significant cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop demand forecasts in partnership with commercial teams.
  • Coordinate with contract manufacturing partners on raw material procurement, production capacity, and output.
  • Monitor daily production performance and address supply risks proactively.
  • Manage outbound finished goods logistics to the US, optimising sea vs. air freight strategies.
  • Collaborate with warehouses and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries.
  • Maintain balanced inventory levels aligned with revenue and safety stock targets.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain accurate documentation for audits and reporting.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in production, supply, or demand planning.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Familiarity with FDA medical device regulations and Good Distribution Practices.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
