Company:
Medical device manufacturer with a new hub in Galway. They specialise in catheters, medical balloons, EM-Micro Sensors, engineered shafts, and complete device assemblies, supporting a wide range of interventional therapies.


Job summary:
As a Manufacturing Technician you will support the manufacture, development, and continuous improvement of balloon components used in medical device products. Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations, the role supports production, process development, troubleshooting, and NPI activities while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain balloon manufacturing equipment.
  • Support process development, validation, and engineering activities.
  • Analyse and trend manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and support corrective actions.
  • Perform in-process and destructive testing to verify product compliance to specifications.
  • Complete manufacturing and engineering documentation accurately and on time.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Participate in change control, non-conformance, and CAPA activities.

Requirements:
  • Experience with medical device, balloon manufacturing.
  • Experience in medical devices or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in medical device balloon development activities.
  • Experience supporting engineering, process development, or NPI activities.
  • Visa to work full time in Ireland
