Commercial Solutions Manager (Medical Devices)
Reporting to the National Commercial Manager.

Our client is a leading provider of Medical Beds, Patient Handling solutions and other Healthcare products across Ireland. They are currently seeking a Commercial Solutions Manager to drive commercial direction and profitable sales opportunities within Republic of Ireland across the acute, long-term care and community areas within the HSE, Nursing Home and private sectors (architects and building contractors).
Job Purpose:
To manage efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial ROI team and offer support in managing commercial sales opportunities across all product portfolios. Delivering sustainable sales & market share growth, you will be innovative and experienced in new business development, team working and effective sales management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish relationships within C/D suite and senior HSE stakeholders. Build professional relationships with both current and prospective customers, through the promotion of the company’s existing and new products/solutions across all product portfolios via presentations, demonstrations and related general marketing activities.
• Provide Sales Team leadership and direction with the aim of achieving and exceeding sales targets and business growth.
• Identify key opportunities to provide customer solutions by engaging and working collaboratively with other relevant internal business partners such as Rentals, Service, and Mobility Outcomes with the aim of differentiating our client from their competitors.
• Sharing competitor and market intelligence across the wider business.
• Manage the purchasing process, including any allocated national purchase requests, working with other specialists within the company as required.
• Foster a collaborative team approach to deliver excellent customer service at every level. • Build and maintain close business relationships with the Sales Support Team to help support solution selling, new business opportunities and lead generation.
• Create and implement annual business plans with the input of the marketing, sales and clinical teams with the aim of achieving targets and managing budgets for your respective region.
• Implement the our clients selling process and utilise the planning and reporting tools effectively to ensure a consistent approach
• Provide mentoring, coaching and guidance to your team to simultaneously maximise service to the customers and help the personal development and career progression of the team.
• Produce accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasts and timely reports on progress against the Ireland business plan in accordance with required timescales.

• Build quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• It is essential to have a track record of sales success and/or commercial management in a similar customer-facing role. Preferred Medical Device sales experience as well as an understanding of the medical sector in Ireland and sales admin experience (e.g. completing CRM system / forecasting/quotations).
• Knowledge of our clients products, solutions, systems and services is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and change management expertise required to inspire, coach, mentor and motivate the sales teams to achieve sustainable results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service, professionalism and compassion/empathy for others.
Personal Qualities:
• Confidently handle difficult conversations with customers and end users in very emotive and challenging circumstances.
• Able to solve problems and seek solutions in challenging situations using initiative and resourcefulness.
• Demonstrate a motivated and passionate approach to work, taking ownership for tasks.
• Project Management skills including collaboration with multiple stakeholders, efficient time management and accurate attention to detail.
• A demonstrable knowledge and understanding of HSE, Private Hospitals, Care Home Groups, Special Education Needs Schools and Architects/ Contractors within Ireland.
• Sound knowledge and experience of tendering for large contracts through HSE with an ability to influence, shape and scope tender specifications before release.
• Industry knowledge of patient handling products, medical beds, therapeutic surfaces, HSE procurement and tenders’ management is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in working with Architects / construction companies on new build projects would be an advantage
Other Essential Requirements:
• This is a full-time, permanent position.
• Due to the nature of this role, it is required that you live within reasonable travelling distance from the core area of work.
• It is essential to have excellent written and spoken English.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland & UK.
• Driving License: Required to hold a valid Irish driver’s license.
• Travel: Ability to travel within the UKI with overnight stays as and when required and occasional travel overseas.
• Enhanced Garda Vetting clearance required at the cost of our client.
• IT: Must have intermediate level Microsoft Office skills, namely Excel, Word and PowerPoint
