Business Development Manager – Client Services 📍 Galway (Hybrid)

Launch or Accelerate Your Career in MedTech Commercial Leadership A growing B2B commercial services organisation based in Galway is seeking a Business Development Manager – Client Services to join its expanding team.
This company partners with global medical device manufacturers to support their strategic market expansion across Europe, the UK, and the USA. Representing suppliers of components, sub-assemblies and finished devices, the organisation works across the product lifecycle — from early design and prototyping through to manufacturing scale-up.
This is an excellent opportunity for:

  • An experienced MedTech B2B sales professional, or
  • A commercially minded engineer looking to transition into a client-facing business development role.

The Role You will professionally represent a portfolio of international medical device client companies within the B2B MedTech ecosystem.
Your focus will be on identifying and developing new business opportunities, building long-term relationships, and driving revenue growth across an assigned territory and client portfolio.
The role is hybrid, based in Galway with flexibility for remote working and travel to client sites and industry events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans for assigned client portfolios.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within the MedTech manufacturing and supplier network.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, contract manufacturers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform growth strategies.
  • Develop compelling commercial proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Lead negotiations and close new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage a healthy sales pipeline, meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Represent the organisation and client companies at industry trade shows and networking events.
  • Provide regular commercial updates and forecasting reports.
  • Collaborate closely with client companies to ensure alignment on strategy and expectations.

About You We are open to two profiles:
Option 1: Experienced Commercial Professional
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B business development or sales within medical devices.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
Option 2: Engineer Transitioning to Commercial
  • Degree-qualified engineer (Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar).
  • Experience working within the medical device sector.
  • Strong communication skills and commercial curiosity.
  • Desire to move into a client-facing, revenue-generating role.

Essential Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability with a strategic mindset.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot or similar platforms).
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and trade events.
