Account Manager

Our client a leading medical device component supplier is currently seeking an Account Manager to join their team to cover UK and Ireland. Reporting to European General Manager the Account Manager leads and manages all sales activities within the UK and Ireland. This role involves developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. The Account Manager is responsible for successfully implementing sales initiatives. Additionally, this role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and staying updated on market trends and competitor activities. Successful candidate must have experience in B2B Medical Device Sales


Role/Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and penetrating new customer segments.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for business growth and product/service enhancements.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance metrics, analyze data, and prepare regular reports to evaluate performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop sales budgets and forecasts, manage expenses, and ensure effective resource utilization to optimize profitability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales efforts with overall business strategies and objectives.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities and interactions.
  • Report to the EU Manager weekly about local activities.


Skills/Experience:
  • 3-5 years prior medical device marketing and project leader experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred in medical device and/or marketing.
  • Self-starter – self-motivated - ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize tasks and lead activities with minimal formal direction.
  • Strong analytic skills – collecting relevant information and extracting meanings and conclusions.
  • The ability to learn and implement new know-how and skills, either through formal training or informal means such as literature, self, and others' experience
  • Multilingual skills—speaking and writing, especially in German and English; a third language is welcome.
  • Strong team workability to share knowledge, support others, and receive support from colleagues.
  • Strong ability to generate effective interpersonal/professional relationships with customers, clinicians, vendors, and colleagues.
