This role involves leading the technical effort for several new product projects as part of an end-to-end launch sequence between RD, Engineering & Operations.
Responsibilities
Be a key point of contact for exchanges with the R&D teams for new product introductions, continuous improvement changes, business continuity, regulatory related changes & customer complaint technical questions.
Lead process driven projects related to required new product introductions. Ensure timely and problem free introduction of new products, product extensions and imposed formulation changes to the sites.
Communication to key stakeholders and Senior Management on project status.
Partner closely with the research and development team and support the development of specific fast tracked new products.
Implement LEAN principles within the process where possible to drive accelerated time to market whilst respecting market quality integrity
Work in partnership with the team of engineers to identify opportunities for further improvement in the process, to optimize and improve the robustness whilst supporting the drive to lean the total time to market.
Support the equipment development team on line equipment start up projects to ensure the successful installation and start-up of the line in a timely, quality compliant and safe manner.
Use Statistical analysis to determine the impact of changes, driving data based decision-making. Generation of Design of Experiments (DoE) & interpretation of data to support process improvement work will be required.
Experience
10-15 years’ experience in Operations orNew Product or Process engineering positions
Demonstrated track record and proven ability to manage process technical details
Knowledgeable in process problem solving tools
Ability to multitask and manage workload complexity in a high paced environment
Experience with Statistical software applications and tools would be an advantage.
Must be able to effectively convey complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
An overall mechanical aptitude & familiarity with equipment workings is advantageous.
Strong critical thinking & problem solving ability
Good communication and training skills across different cultures
Experienced in using Microsoft Office packages
Some travel may be required to other sites
Education
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process engineering, Industrial Chemistry or equivalent experience is required.
