Regional Service Manager (East)

Our client is Ireland’s leading provider of sampling, analysis and on-contract analysts to the food, environmental, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Founded in 1994, they are renowned for delivering high-quality laboratory data, always on time and in the most customer-focused way.

They are seeking a highly motivated Regional Service Manager to oversee and manage the operational performance of their services across various client sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid science or technical background, substantial client-facing experience, and a proven track record in managing teams of analysts (chemistry/micro) and enhancing service delivery. This role will involve significant travel, engaging with both clients and on-site analysts to ensure exceptional service quality and to anticipate and address their clients’ future needs.

This is a field-based role covering Eastern and South Eastern region of Ireland so a Dublin/East coast location would be ideal.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the performance of our clients analysts on client sites, ensuring adherence to quality standards, procedures, and timelines.
  • Conduct monthly on-site visits at a minimum to assess and enhance service levels, address client concerns, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Interface directly with clients to understand their evolving needs, cultivate relationships, and maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies that improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on site performance, key observations, and recommendations for management.
Education/ Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific or business field (Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Business, HR or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a client-facing role within the scientific industry, preferably in a service or project management capacity.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead remote teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality standards.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, generating reports, and presenting findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (60-80% of the time).
  • Clean drivers license essential
