Moulding Shift Technician required for a Staff position with a Multinational Medical Device company in Louth.

This is a 4-Cycle Shift Pattern role (Days and Nights). All applications must be willing to work 2 x 12-hour days, followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, followed by 4 days off.


Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure appropriate action is taken to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner using systematic approach to problem solving install and set-up a range of multi cavity moulds and automation for the production of medical device components;
• Complete mould repairs as required to ensure optimum mould performance;
• Start up and shut down of moulding presses and ancillary equipment, applying industry best practice at all times.

• A technical qualification in Mechanical/Electrical or Toolmaking acquired through apprenticeship or 3rd level.
• A minimum of 2 years industrial experience in an injection moulding environment preferably in the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of injection moulding robots would be a distinct advantage.
