Our client is an Irish-owned surgical solutions company that focuses on providing innovative medical devices and unparalleled support for Gynaecology, Urology, and Orthopaedic surgeons in Ireland and Northern Ireland. They are dedicated to advancing the field of surgery through cutting-edge medical device innovations, education, training, and technical support.

They are currently seeking a Field Sales Manager to head up theirUrology & Gynaecology Division during this exciting phase, presenting a unique opportunity for a seasoned sales leader. Reporting to the Managing Director as a Field Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic initiatives and overseeing the successful market penetration of our clients’ innovative surgical devices throughout Ireland. This is a Nationwide role.

In this leadership role, you will spearhead the integration of global advancements in surgical techniques, ensuring the sales team's success and contributing significantly to the overall growth and impact of our clients Urology & Gynaecology product portfolio. Your strategic vision and sales leadership expertise will play a pivotal role in establishing our client as a market leader in the field.

The Urology and Gynaecology Field Sales Manager will play a crucial role in leading and managing the uro/gynae sales team to achieve sales and market share objectives. Responsible for overseeing nationwide coverage, this role involves strategic planning, team development, and collaboration with key stakeholders. The Field Sales Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our urology and gynaecology product portfolio in the market.

Role/ Responsibilities:

Sales Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement training programs for continuous improvements

Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute a strategic business development plan.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive sales strategies.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Support the sales team in nurturing existing customer relationships and acquiring new business.

Sales Operations:
  • Oversee the execution of national sales plans and initiatives.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of resources, including budget management.
Reporting:
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, business prospects, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director / Marketing Director to assess and refine territory business plans

Team Collaboration:
  • Liaise with internal teams to maximize cross-business opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.

Education/Experience:
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a sales team in the urology/gynaecology medical devices industry or currently a Medical Device Territory Account Manager seeking to take the next step into a Nationwide Sales Leadership role.
  • Success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Background in healthcare/medical/surgical sales.
Educational Background:
  • Minimum NFQ Level 8, Honors Bachelor Degree.
  • Healthcare, Science, Engineering, Business-related degree or relevant field.
Skills and Qualities:
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Full driving license.
