Commercial Director
Our client, a Dublin based Medical Device organisation are currently recruiting for a Commercial Director to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity has arisen due to the continued expansion of the organisation. The successful candidate will report directly to the COO and will be a key senior member of the management team as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities
• Lead product management, representing the voices of the customer and end-users
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Clinical, Manufacturing, Quality & Regulatory to ensure company-wide alignment
• Feed key commercial & market insights into product development, clinical trial design, manufacturing and quality / regulatory activities
• Provide commercial oversight on programme management
• Lead commercialisation activities
• Build business intelligence system and prepare comprehensive market analysis
• Develop/ drive awareness of the organisation in the medtech space
• Liaise with external parties such as payors, providers, brand agencies, etc.
• Develop systems and business models to reflect current and future business needs
• Develop and implement value creation opportunities for the company

Requirements
• Regulated medical devices/ lifesciences background – preferably with both technical and commercial exposure
• Extensive product management experience. Likely to have seen products from concept through to deployment
• Extensive growth strategy development and implementation experience
• Excellent communicator with experience in developing relationships with the other senior internal stakeholders to understand their requirements
• Strong analytical & interpersonal skills
• Very strong commercial acumen, with excellent understanding in how to lead and add value to strategic decision making (likely to have a MBA/ management qualification)
• Well organised with experience working to deadlines
• Ability to proactively identify issues and make recommendations
• Proven ability to function efficiently in a faced-paced environment with multiple and shifting priorities
• Ability to travel internationally is essential (e.g., 5 – 10+ trips per year)
